Norway, already the world leader when it comes to electric cars on the road, is on track with its plan to ban the sale of all fossil fuel-based cars by 2015. Politicians from both sides of the political spectrum have reportedly reached agreement about 100 percent of new Norwegian cars running on green energy in less than ten years. It’s a particularly significant initiative because a large proportion of Norway’s funds rely on the country’s large oil and gas industry. ‘What an amazingly awesome country’, Elon Musk tweeted in response to the news.
