A startup that’s helped bring solar energy to millions of customers living in off-grid areas of Africa has announced that it will be shifting their business towards larger, more powerful solar-powered gear. After successfully bringing solar lanterns to 65 million people, the startup, d.light, wants to provide enough energy for families to power their homes. The company has solar equipment that works as well as has traditional power grid connection, but its only a fraction of the cost. With already 250,000 solar systems sold already, d.light is on its way to bringing affordable energy to everyone in Africa through these all-around solar systems.
