Demand for organic produce rises fast in the U.S. In response, warehouse chain Costco has started to provide farmers with loans to upscale their organic produce. Costco explains the move saying that “it cannot get enough organics to stay in business day in and day out.” Loans will be used for organic farmers to purchase more land and acquire the necessary equipment.
