Mosquitoes live off humans. We are their only source of food. At the same time, they don’t contribute much. Yes, they pollinate plants, but they are not a staple food for any other species. So, what if we genetically manipulate the mosquitoes to let them eradicate themselves? Scientists see how to do it through releasing genetically altered mosquitoes. But is it justifiable?
